1.  What is the REQUIRED 'Opening Title Sequence' within your movie?

In your opening title sequence (during the regular 3-4 minute film / time requirement), you should include at MINIMUM the title of the film and actor names.  The videos below are a guide. PLEASE look at plenty of opening title sequences that appear in a variety of films.

Some Things To Consider:

(a) Try to keep the opening title sequence as part of your 'narrative'.  Don't feel like it has to stand alone.  The 'narrative' of the film can begin as the opening title sequence is happening.

(b) Do what is right for your film.  The 'feel' of the opening titles should match the overall 'feel' of your film.

(c) You can shoot something that includes the opening titles.  Don't feel like it has to all be done digitally during post-production and editing.

3.  Opening Slate:  Every film ALSO needs a simple 'slate' to identify your film

* This slate is NOT the opening title sequence.  It simply identifies your film for judging*
